Riyadh: Saudi Arabia is reportedly preparing a record-breaking bid to lure Real Madrid star Vinícius Júnior to the Saudi Pro League in the upcoming summer transfer window.
According to reports from AS, Saudi clubs are ready to present an offer that could exceed £ 261 million (€300 million) for the Brazilian forward, aiming to surpass Neymar’s world-record transfer fee of £ 193 million (€222 million) from Barcelona to PSG in 2017. In addition to the unprecedented transfer fee, the proposed deal includes a staggering five-year contract worth £ 173 million (€200 million) per season, tax-free, amounting to £ 865 million (€1 billion) over the contract’s duration. While no formal talks have taken place with the 23-year-old forward, Saudi Arabia is reportedly gearing up for what could be the most lucrative contract in football history.
