Rupee sheds value versus dollar in interbank

ISLAMABAD: Exchange rate of Rupee depreciated by 25 paisa against dollar in interbank trading and sclosed at Rs 229.15 against previous day’s closing of Rs 228.90. In inter market bid was Rs 229.15 while offer was Rs 230.15 and in open market bid for dollar was Rs 237.25 and offer was Rs 239.50 respectiuvely.

According to Forex Association of Pakistan buying and selling rates of dollar in open market were recorded at Rs 237.25 and Rs 239.5 respectively.

Value of euro decreased by 74 paisa and closed at Rs 247.87 against previous day s closing of Rs 248.61, according to State Bank of Pakistan. Japanese yen gained one paisa to close at Rs 1.78, whereas decrease of 2 paisa was witnessed in exchange rate of British pound, which was traded at Rs 282.62 as compared to its last closing of Rs 282.64.

Exchange rates of Emirates dirham and Saudi riyal increased by 6 paisa each to close at Rs 62.38 and Rs 61.00 respectively.
