Rupee sheds value settles at 284.03 against dollar

Karachi: Rupee sustained losses against dollar, depreciating 0.82 percent in inter-bank market as uncertainty over resumption of a stalled International Monetary Fund programme and rise in domestic political noise dented market sentiments. As per State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), rupee settled at 284.03, fall of Rs 2.32. During previous week, rupee had depreciated marginal 0.33 percent, aided by recovery on final two days to settle at 281.71 against dollar in inter-bank market.
