Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori said that Karachi Port Trust is most important gateway of Pakistan.

KPT’s role in promoting economic development is very key. He said that containerisation has transformed international trade and arrival of MSC ANNA is an important milestone in this regard. He expressed these thoughts addressing ceremony held at KPT South Asia Pakistan Terminal Limited regarding arrival of ship MSC ANNA. Minister for Maritime Affairs Qaiser Ahmad Sheikh, Secretary Iram Anjum Khan, Chairman KPT Syedin Raza Zaidi, regional Head Hutchison Ports Pakistan Andy Soy and CEO SAPT Arshad Jameel Syed were present in ceremony. Governor said that all stakeholders deserve congratulation for handling of largest container ship as container ships are main means of transportation of goods worldwide at present. He said that there are vast investment opportunities in maritime sector.
