Riz Kamali shared her views regarding Muharram-ul-Haram in an exclusive interview with ‘Daily National Courier’. She said that month is among four sacred months in Islam, but it is more than that. This month is “month of Allah” and contains special day that marks most known importance of Muharram and it holds much greater significance in hearts of Muslims across globe. Everyone has right to choose and practice a religion.

We should never judge, make fun of, mistreat and/or hurt others because they practice different religion than ours. We must respect everyone. Religious sectarianism destroying peaceful image of Islamic country.  Religious harmony consider good for development of any country, in which different schools of thoughts/sects play vital role in society. “It is not important whether one calls himself Shia or Sunni; what is important is that one believes and sincerely obeys and follows commands of Allah and His Messenger (saws) and fears advent of an Inevitable Day, when he will stand in Just Court of Allah to give full accounting of his deeds.”
