Representatives of electronic, print media visit Jamia-Tur-Rashid, Al Ghazali University

Karachi: TV channels and newspapers journalists and education reporters visited Jamiat-ur-Rashid and Al Ghazali University. Mufti Abdur Rahim, Patron-in-chief Jamiat-ur-Rashid and Chancellor of Al Ghazali University informed on various departments of Jamia-Tur-Rashid including Dar-ul-Ifta (Fatwa Department), Head Office of Majma-ul-Uloom Al-Islamia (well-known Madrassa Education Board), JTR Media House, Faculty of Islamic Commercial Law and Management Sciences, Kuliya-tush-Sharia (4-year post-graduation Sharia Course for University graduates and postgraduates), Fiqh-ul-Halal (Department of Halal Sciences) and JTR Alumni Association.

Video documentaries on education system of Jamia-Tur-Rashid were also played.

Mufti Abdur Rahim said, "Solution to threats being faced by our state lies in religious and contemporary education systems". He said that education systems of Jamia-Tur-Rashid and Al GhazaliUniversity are based on three principles-resolving crisis through education, creating career opportunities for youth and awareness about future threats and preparation to encounter them.

Education system introduced by Al Ghazali University is based on character building. Scope of this character building system expands to ten major areas- patriotism, considering loss to state as one's own personal loss, upholding unity and restricting political and religious differences, nurturing discipline throughout country, observance of duties to state, observance of rights of people by state, serving others and sacrificing one's own right for others, working hard, making nation skilled and self-reliance at both individual and national level.

He suggested to media persons, in race for breaking news, we should take special care of country's interests. If state-owned bodies do not survive, country will be in danger.

Dr. Zeeshan Ahmed, Vice Chancellor of Al Ghazali University told that University will bridge gap between religious and contemporary education systems. It will bring religious education into mainstream. Universities, he elaborated have power to change narrative adopted by nations. He expressed hope that they will successfully educate and nurture youth and develop their skills, He informed that Al Ghazali University for education and promotion of technology will also be launched, which will be named GU Tech.

Journalists belonging to Geo News, GNN, Dunya TV, Neo News, Express TV, Dawn TV, Hum TV, 24 News, ARY News, Samaa TV, Bol TV, 92 TV, Suno TV and The News joined talks.

They asked questions, appreciated education system and offered services for promotion of religious and contemporary education.
