KARACHI: Office of the Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies-II, Karachi has been pointed out for its involvement in illegal and unhealthy activities instead of doing anything constructive and in accordance with its mandate.

Informed sources from Karimabad Ismailia Multipurpose Cooperative Society of District Central, Karachi have disclosed various amazing moves from the officials of Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies-II, indicating perhaps they have assumed the charge and functions of a construction company or the facilitators of a builder and developer instead of doing Sindh government service jobs.

They are seemingly doing certain advocacy for the corrupt officials of an illegal occupant administrative committee which was misusing the public funds indiscriminately without any fear of being caught or nabbed by any law enforcement agencies while being patronized by the Registrar Cooperative Societies-II.

Most interesting fact is that in the near past corrupt officials belonging to this society in dozen of numbers were already arrested, fined and punished by NAB and the Anti Corruption establishment including officials from the concerned dealing departments involved in those crimes along with Registrar office itself. But even then the Deputy Registrar Cooperative Societies-II is unashamedly furnishing fake clarifications of those mafias in front of other departments. The NAB case against those criminals was yet not finished, it was pending in the court and culprits were on bail but bad reputed staff members of the Registrar office were still continuing to enjoy fringe benefits, the sources added.
