Reaching out to IMF mandatory to avert default: Imran Khan

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said country will have to approach International Monetary Fund (IMF) to avert default risk.
Addressing his workers through video link, Khan made it clear that country had no other option, but to approach International Monetary Fund, warning nation to get ready for more inflation in coming days.
Khan said that only solution to all issues is unity of people, urging nation to struggle for establishment of system of justice.
Underscoring PTI’s role in flood relief, he said, “When country was facing unprecedented floods, we collected money for relief and rehabilitation of flood-stricken people.”
Earlier, PTI Chief claimed that establishment asked three lawmakers from his party to remain neutral in matter of Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi’s vote of confidence.
Speaking to journalists, he claimed that General Bajwa hired Hussain Haqqani in America for lobbying, and that Donald Lu was taught lesson from Pakistan. He said that Hussain Haqqani continued to campaign against him and promote General Bajwa. Khan said that Trump administration gave him historic welcome during his visit to United States as Prime Minister.
Khan said, “General (retd) Bajwa called me playboy and in reply I said to him that yes, I had been playboy. Qamar was stabbing us in back and also showing sympathy.”
He claimed setup of General (retd) Bajwa was still working in establishment. He claimed that MQM’s various factions were coming together in Karachi and that BAP was joining Pakistan Peoples’ Party Khan slammed Najam Sethi, saying he did not even know basics of cricket and that PCB’s Constitution was changed to accommodate Sethi’s appointment.
On other hand, Imran Khan has said he hoped party will win 2023 elections despite disappointing political situation of country. “Country reign was handed over to criminals after dethroning best performing government of PTI through conspiracy,” he said in a tweet on eve of New Year. “Year 2022: it was best of times and it was worst of times. A government with one of best econ performances was removed through conspiracy triggered by supreme self-interest and Pakistan was handed over to bunch of criminals.
