KARACHI: Sindh Rangers personnel was shot dead  in Gulistan-e-Johar. According to police, incident seems to be rooted in personal enmity. Police official said that slain law enforcer was posted at Rangers Headquarters and stepped out after taking leave.

Senior Superintendent of Police East Abdul Rahim Sherazi said that Rangers personnel Muhammad Khalid stopped by near Millennium Shopping Mall in area and was speaking with someone on his mobile phone. While he was on call, two suspects on motorbike came and began talking to him. Suspects then opened fire at Khalid.

Police said they were trying to acquire CCTV footage of incident. According to law enforcers, victim was allegedly targeted due to family enmity. Sources said that Rangers personnel’s brother was also killed in rural Sindh few years ago.
