Rahat Fateh Ali Khan complained that he received awards from all over world but did not even receive letter of appreciation from any government institution of Pakistan. World-renowned singer Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in an interview said that our family has been serving art of Qawwali for 600 years.

Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, who holds an honorary PhD in Art of Qawwali from Oxford University said that he would request new music student not to go to teacher but to take online music training. Rahat said that my son Shah Zaman will brighten name of his family, we are students of music all our lives. In response to question, Ustad Rahat Fateh Ali Khan said that even today I do Riaz for many hours. He said that performing as headline singer at United Nations and Nobel Prize ceremony will always be remembered. Rahat Fateh Ali Khan also said that to end inflation, wealthy class should come forward and help poor.
