Filming on The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, precursor to The Hunger Games, is now complete. On Twitter, Rachel Zegler noted achievement in production. I have loved every second and that’s a wrap, actor captioned photos he posted from film’s set.
This year in June, filming commenced in Berlin, Germany. Francis Lawrence, who has directed several Hunger Games films, is in charge of this one. Michael Arndt and Michael Lesslie wrote script, which is based on a book series by Suzanne Collins.
The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, which takes place around 64 years before The Hunger Games, centres on Coriolanus Snow, better known to original trilogy readers as President Snow, as he gets ready to guide District 12’s female tribute, Lucy Gray Baird.
As Lionsgate looks to add another gem to their collection of lucrative franchises, which already includes titles like The Hunger Games and Keanu Reeves-led action thriller franchise John Wick, fans are anticipating same excitement, action and mythos that were invoked in original movies. On November 17, 2023, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes is expected to hit theatres. –Agencies
