‘Quaid-e-Azam’s birthday celebrated with fervor’

Karachi: 147th birth anniversary of founder of Pakistan, Muhammad Ali Jinnah celebrated with traditional zeal and enthusiasm across country.
Muhammad Ali Jinnah played pivotal role as liberator of British India’s Muslims. Born on December 25, 1876, in Karachi, Quaid-e-Azam completed his early education and later acquired law degree from London. After brief stint, he entered political arena by joining Indian National Congress.
Whether it was dealing with Communal Award or Cabinet Mission Plan, leading Quit India Movement, or advocating for separate homeland, Quaid-e-Azam’s political astuteness was evident. His vision for an independent state for Muslims echoed across nation.
Quaid-e-Azam navigated complex political landscape from formulation of the Pakistan Resolution to establishment of Pakistan on August 14, 1947. He assumed role of Pakistan’s first Governor-General.
Quaid-e-Azam’s unwavering efforts for rights of Muslims and establishment of separate homeland took toll on his health. One year after creation of Pakistan, on September 11, 1948, Muhammad Ali Jinnah, true architect of nation, departed from this world.
Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar emphasises unity for democracy, peaceful coexistence and eradication of extremism on Quaid-e-Azam’s 147th birthday. He underscores importance of national unity, urging nation to uphold Quaid’s principles of ‘unity, faith and discipline.’ In his message on 147th birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, President Dr. Arif Alvi reiterated Quaid’s foundational principles of ‘unity, faith and discipline.’
