LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Kham said PTI and its workers will defend sanctity of judiciary at any cost. Imran Khan said while talking to PTI leader Shahbaz Gill, who called on him at Zaman Park. Two discussed current political situation of country and party’s course of action.

Imran Khan underscored need for elections saying that country has been going through an economic crisis and delay in elections was violation of Constitution.

Imran Khan further criticised government for creating further difficulties for people by putting an end to public welfare projects including health card service. He said that they cannot even face public after record-breaking inflation as poor are suffering. Earlier, Imran Khan said that tapping of phone calls is bid to pressurise judges and stop rule of law in country. Imran Khan made statement while meeting with columnists and senior writers in which he discussed PTI’s political strategy, economic challenges and terrorism incidents. He elaborated on PTI’s Jail Bharo Tehreek and its targets.

Imran Khan urged judiciary to notice of tapping phones and audio leaks, terming them violation of basic human rights. Addressing press conference along with PTI leader Yasmin Rashid, he castigated Pakistan Democratic Movement government over recent audio leak of former Punjab health minister, saying that these people were using audio tapes to achieve political goals.

Imran Khan said that every citizen has rights to speak to police, adding that such audios were being leaked to remove Lahore Capital City Police Officer Ghulam Dogar.

Meanwhile Imran Khan has reportedly decided to appear in Lahore High Court today in case pertaining to protests outside Election Commission of Pakistan. Party has also approached LHC for security clearance for Imran and PTI leader Shibli Faraz has submitted an application regarding issue to Administrative Judge Abid Aziz Shaikh.
