LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan said that his party would win political “War” and also ace constitutional front.

Presiding over meeting with his legal team at Zaman Park residence. Punjab Assembly Speaker Sibtain Khan, law minister Raja Basharat, Advocate General Ahmad Awais and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid leader Moonis Elahi participated in meeting.

During meeting, Ahmad Awais briefed participants on legal position of no-confidence move and declared Governor’s move illegal. He briefed Khan on ongoing assembly meeting at Aiwan-e-Iqbal.

“Session summoned by Governor for Punjab CM election has been challenged and there is no legal value of summoning frequent meetings,” he said.

PTI Chairman said they would win political and constitutional “war”. Earlier, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf lawmakers from Multan voiced their concern with Imran Khan over assemblies’ dissolution on December 23.

Legislators voiced their worries at meeting with PTI Chairman, saying if caretaker set-up would last for while they might be target of political vendetta. In response, Imran Khan offered them encouragement by saying, “With dissolution of assembly, you people should not worry. Dissolution of assemblies should actually be PDM’s fear.”
