ISLAMABAD:  PTI leaders while reacting strongly to arrest of Senator Azam Swati have said media reports of violence against Azam Swati are worrying adding he is elderly person and government should arrest some young person rather than stripping naked an elderly man Azam Swati.

Shahbaz Gill chief of staff of Imran Khan said in his statement on twitter arresting Azam Swati and then thrashing him mercilessly naked is shameful. He is an old man and he is grandfather too. Think for a moment his family members may have endured what agony.

“We know we are weaker than you and we can do nothing. Therefore, it is requested to you arrest any young worker of party including me and don’t strip naked elder, he added. Fawad Chaudhry said media reports of inflicting torture on Azam Swati are embarrassing. Torturing political prisoners has become a new norm in Pakistan. Shireen Mazari while denouncing arrest of Azam Swati in strong terms said surprisingly this is end of democracy with seriousness. PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari said Maryam has been released in crime of theft.

Shehbaz Sharif and Hamza have no more remained criminals. And a Senator cannot express his opinion in his tweet. Asad Umar said in his tweet arrest of Azam Swati is condemnable and he be released forthwith. Lawyer Babar Awan said a fascist government has lifted another senior senator. At  time of arrest Azam Swati was told that we are from FIA. Earlier Senator Saifullah and Senator Azam Swati has been lifted.

May be one day it comes out Chairman has gone into list of missing persons. Rulers came to power by using foreign shoulder and this government is within limits of seven and half kilometer, he added.
