Islamabad: PTI senior leader and former National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser said that party is ready to set aside their differences for peace in country. In statement issued, he called upon government to change its behaviour as “Country is going through serious crises.”
“National unity is need of hour,” he said, adding that government would have to improve its behaviour first. “In our (PTI) tenure, government evolved better strategy and succeeded to restore peace in country. Our strategy was in best interest of country,” he added. Responding to question about All Parties Conference (APC), former NA Speaker said that government’s representatives made telephone call to him on Sunday and verbally invited him to multi-party conference.
“It was not an appropriate way to invite anybody to APC,” he said, adding, “National harmony in Pakistan is out of question as government shows unconstitutional behaviour.”
On February 3, PTI Secretary-General Asad Umar said party Chairman Imran Khan would not attend federal government’s APC scheduled for February 9 (Thursday). However, earlier APC was to be held on Tuesday.
