Islamabad: As Pakistan Democratic Movement and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf are all set to hold ‘final round’ of election talks on Tuesday, leaders from both opposition and ruling alliance cast doubt on success of negotiations. Speaking to media in here, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif raised questions over ongoing parleys between opposition PTI and PDM teams to evolve consensus on holding elections across country simultaneously.
“What will be result of negotiations? PTI are only making arguments,” senior PML-N leader remarked. Referring to negotiation teams, he questioned: Similarly, PTI leader Asad Umar said that PDM-led government’s intentions are not good about negotiations. Speaking to media in Karachi, Umar said that PTI was holding negotiations with ruling PDM at suggestion of Supreme Court. He accused ruling PDM of pushing country towards “Danger” for sake of vested interest.
He said country cannot progress unless all sides agree to unanimous accord to resolve country’s issues. He said that Tuesday (May 2) will be last chance for negotiations.
