PTI, PDM leaders trade barbs over Imran’s ouster

Islamabad: Pakistan marked first anniversary of unceremonious ouster of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan as premier on Sunday after present ruling coalition voted him out of office.
Pakistan Peoples’ Party chairperson and Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari congratulated whole nation and House, “As for first time in history of country, no-confidence motion has succeeded and we have made history”, claiming that “Selected” who had proved himself to be an “Undemocratic burden” on country saw end of his rule. “Democracy is best revenge,” Bilawal had said.
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Talal Chaudhry extended his felicitations to nation for “Having rid itself of PTI’s reign”.
“I congratulate you on attaining freedom from those who emptied national treasury and left nation hungry,” he said, “from those who stole public mandate and traitors who set up minefields in path of economy,” he said.
PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry said “One year of Pakistan’s worst fascist junta, long dark night that came to end bright (future) of Pakistan year ago is still imposed today.”
He expressed hope “In few days’ time this night will end and power will be transferred to people”.
Shireen Mazari said, “Fascism being spread since last year is unacceptable and people have sent this clear message repeatedly to imported government and its handlers”.
PTI General-Secretary Asad Umar decried government’s failure in grappling with country’s economic woes. “Never in history of Pakistan has growth rate reduced by tenfold in single year as it has done after regime change conspiracy,” he said, “never in history has Pakistan seen level of inflation as it has seen in last one year.”
