PTI leader Amir Dogar arrested in Multan

MULTAN: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader and former member National Assembly Amir Dogar and several other party workers were arrested in Multan. Police carried out raid at Amir Dogar’s guest house in Multan and arrested PTI leader for chaos workers created outside Election Commission of Pakistan during submission of nomination papers. A brawl also erupted between workers of PTI and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz. Dogar was arrested along with more than dozen party workers.
Scuffle started when PML-N’s Sheikh Tariq Rasheed and PTI’s Amir Dogar were going to file nomination papers along with their workers for NA-155 by-elections. Workers from both parties pelted each other with stones and threw flower pots towards each other. After clash, police arrested Sheikh Tariq Rasheed and Malik Anwar from Nishtar Hospital.
Condemnations over Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf leader Amir Dogar’s arrest poured in from party leadership. PTI Secretary General and former Ministers Asad Umar and Fawad Chaudhry strongly condemned former lawmaker’s arrest. Fawad Chaudhry said “Jail Bharo Movement” has started with arrest of Amir Dogar.
