ISLAMABAD: Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah blamed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) for ‘rising terrorism’, saying that previous government had pardoned convicted terrorists of banned outfits.
Speaking on motion in National Assembly on recent wave of terrorism in country, he expressed resolve to win ‘war on terrorism’ at all costs. Blaming Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf for rising terrorism, Rana Sanaullah said that PTI’s policy to pardon convicted terrorists of banned outfits proved to be wrong.
“Policies implemented in last 4 years were main factors of rise of terrorism”, he said, adding that PTI allowed terrorist to return to Pakistan.
Rana Sanaullah said terrorism was collective issue, which can only be eliminated jointly. “Political leadership and military leadership are determined to seek guidance from Parliament in order to defeat terrorism,” he added.
Condemning terrorist incident in Peshawar, he said terrorism should not be bracketed with any community or ethnicity. He said every Pakistani is disturbed over terrorist incidents, irrespective of where they happen.
Interior Minister assured House that political and military leadership would take Parliament into confidence over recent wave of terrorism.
Interior Minister made it clear that these terrorist incidents are against Pakistan and not against any region or province of country.
