ISLAMABAD: Awam Pakistan Party convener Shahid Khaqan Abbasi rebuked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder, saying latter had done nothing for masses’ sake in three years.

Expressing his thoughts, he asserted, “Efforts were made to bring constitutional amendment in darkness.” He took jibe at incumbent government, saying, “Masses were facing hardships due to government, but not public gatherings.” He said, “Amendment was not seen by any of Cabinet, Senate or National Assembly members. Majority in assembly was comprised of those who snatched mandates.” He stated, “Police from one district are staging protest at national highway. Do you have ever listened that police who are responsible for providing protection to citizens are themselves staging protests?” Abbasi said, “Constitutional amendments are meant to gain interests and extend power.”

Earlier, Abbasi asserted that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz was answerable on current situation of country. “Bogus cases should not be made against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf founder. I also had to face baseless allegations and was put behind bars.”
