LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan said that establishment is reality and is above law but country’s situation will improve when establishment works for rule of law.
In meeting with producers of TV channels, he said that if there is an attempt to reduce our mandate in Punjab, we will resist. “Our people from South Punjab are being forced to join Pakistan Peoples’ Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and also told that Imran Khan has no future,” PTI Chairman said.
He said that no other institution has as much power as Army, adding that if Army plays positive role, no one can stop country from moving forward.
Khan said that country is at verge of default and instead of going bankrupt, it would be better off going to International Monetary Fund in this situation.
Meanwhile, Imran Khan reportedly refused to meet PTI’s defecting former members of Punjab Assembly. PTI workers are protesting in Punjab constituencies of defecting members. Former MPAs approached party Chief to rest their case but he refused to meet with them.
Members were issued show-cause notices by party and PTI Chief instructed them to appear before party Secretary General Asad Umar and present an explanation.
