PTI Chief Imran believes 'election in April'

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan believed that establishment would go for elections in April.
Speaking to delegation of journalists, he said elections will have to happen in case of dissolution of two assemblies, adding that it will not bother PTI if elections delay, once assemblies will be dissolved.
Clarifying on why PTI delayed process of dissolving assemblies, Khan said that to convince allies, his party did not opt to immediately dissolve assemblies. While avoiding answering question on Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi, Khan said, “We have no doubt Parvez Elahi will not dissolve PA. He [Elahi] will take vote of confidence before January 11.”
PTI Chairman Imran Khan called meeting of senior party leadership to finalise strategy regarding confidence vote for Punjab Chief Minister Chaudhry Parvez Elahi. He has also called meeting of party’s media strategy committee at his Zaman Park residence here. Imran Khan would also be briefed on latest developments by committee holding negotiations with Parvez Elahi and Moonis Elahi regarding seat adjustment for next elections. Earlier speaking to media persons outside Imran Khan’s Zaman park residence, PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry flanked by Punjab minister Aslam Iqbal said Punjab CM would dissolve Punjab Assembly after obtaining vote of confidence. Fawad while reiterating demand for snap elections said incumbent rulers had disappointed masses.
