Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan has said that ruling Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz is “Threatening” Chief Justice of Pakistan in same way that it “Attacked” top court in 1997. “As PML-N did in 1997 by storming SC to attack CJ Sajjad Ali Shah hearing contempt petition against Nawaz Sharif, today PML-N is again threatening SC and CJP because they are petrified of elections,” he said in tweet.

His statement comes as Supreme Court earlier today rejected request by Attorney General Pakistan Mansoor Awan for formation of full court bench as it continued hearing PTI petition against delay in elections to Punjab Assembly.

Addressing common citizen in his tweets, Imran Khan urged people to come out in protest for sake of democracy and rule of law in country. “I want PPP to be ready to come out in streets if need be to save Rule of Law, Constitution and democracy. We will be talking to all those political parties who are prepared to stand up against this conspiracy,” PTI Chief said.

He appealed to lawyers’ community to again “Take lead as they did in 2007 lawyers’ movement to protect Pakistan’s Constitution and rule of Law”. Talking to senior journalist, PTI Chairman said that Pakistan army is my army and Pakistan is ours.

He said that armed forces are strength of Pakistan.  He maintained that free and fair elections are solution to country problems. He added that PTI would go to any end for democracy. There will be no compromise on freedom of judiciary and Constitution. PTI Chairman revealed that PTI workers are being abducted from their homes.
