LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan asked workers and supporters to express solidarity with Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) on May 6, Saturday. In special message to PTI workers and supporters, Imran Khan gave call to nationals to take to streets for showing their support to CJP Justice Umar Ata Bandial. He said that country is currently at decisive phase of history. “Today, Pakistan is going through record inflation and unemployment and mafia is seizing it. Incumbent government is afraid of facing defeat in elections.”
Khan blamed government for deliberately taking steps for destroying Constitution and Supreme Court (SC). “Mafia is running propaganda against CJP and SC judges. I am appealing to nation to come out for showing their solidarity with CJP.” Imran Khan lambasted ruling coalition for not ‘implementing Supreme Court’s orders’, warning of country-wide protests. “We stand by Supreme Court for implementation of Constitution,” he added.
He added that country cannot function without supremacy of rule of law. Khan also said that overseas Pakistanis were not investing in country due to ‘corruption’. He added that foreign investment cannot increase until there is stability in country. He alleged that PTI’s seats were reduced in 2018 election.
