LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) supremo Imran Khan said that the willingness of “Seat of power” was vital for ensuring early elections in country.
Speaking to select group of journalists at his Zaman Park residence here, Imran claimed that he was not in contact with Establishment for now and also warned government of reaction if any “Political engineering” would be done in upcoming elections. He took a jibe at ruling Pakistan Democratic Movement saying PDM had become “Drawing room” party, adding that they came into power just to get ‘NRO-2’.
Accusing ex-COAS Gen Bajwa of toppling his government, Mr Khan said “Bajwa did injustice to PTI and now due to him country is on verge of default.” “I don’t see elections happening now. There is hearsay about technocrat government being brought forward,” PTI Chief claimed. “There is no contact with establishment at this time,” he added. He added, “Mandate of largest party in East Pakistan was not accepted,” Khan said, warning of dire consequences if his party’s mandate is messed with. He added that Pakistan’s problems could not be resolved without rule of law’s establishment. He lambasted on PPP and PML-N and said that both these parties have made amendments in NAB ordinance to wrap up their corruption cases worth Rs 1,100 billion.
PTI Chairman said that chances of going default were 6 percent in their tenure but it went up to alarming 90 percent.
