Protection of people’s life, property our topmost priority, says IGP Sindh Memon

Karachi: High-level meeting IGP Sindh Ghulam Nabi Memon in chair reviewed foolproof security across Sindh in which senior most and senior police officers of all ranges participated directly and via video link.

 IGP Sindh gave instructions to audit security issues and measures pertaining to Chinese residents and foreigners related to various development projects and other issues in Sindh otherwise, all responsibility will be imposed on supervisory officers. 

He said along with tightening security of police lines and masajid, special focus should also be paid on security of important government offices, buildings, training centres, establishments, etc.

 Giving orders for red alert of overall security issues and measures, he said that taking care of people’s lives and property and providing complete security to them was their first priority.  Police officers and officials should take KPO incident seriously and focus on implementing security orders. Apart from forming high-powered committee to investigate incident, IGP also formed reward committee under chairmanship of Additional IG CDT, whose members include DIG Headquarters Sindh, DIG Establishment, AIGs Welfare and Establishment.

KPO will prepare list of awards and certificates for officers and personnel who had performed well during KPO attack. IGP Sindh praised DIGs, SSPs, DSPs and other officers and personnel for their timely and effective response to terrorist attack.

He said that heirs of martyrs should be taken care of while providing quality medical facilities to all those injured in attack.
