Priyanka Chopra lauds Pakistan’s Oscar shortlisted film ‘Joyland’

Bollywood actress who is now Hollywood actress as well, Priyanka Chopra recently watched Pakistan’s Oscars shortlisted film ‘Joyland’. ‘Barfi’ actress couldn’t resist praising film and entire team.

Taking to her Instagram, ‘Krrish’ star shared glimpse from trailer on her story and wrote, “#Joyland is truly joy to watch. Bravo to entire team for bringing this story to life. It’s must watch.” ‘Joyland’ is directed by Saim Sadiq and produced by Khoosat Films. Malala Yousufzai and Riz Ahmed recently joined team as executive producers.

Film has been receiving love and appreciation from all across world. Priyanka has now joined in list of admirers. Earlier yesterday, news came out that actor Ali Junejo, who played role of Haider in movie won Best Actor Award at Palm Springs International Film Festival. Film ‘Joyland’ has been officially shortlisted in 95th Academy Awards 2023. Final nominations have not been announced yet but team is hopeful that film will bring Oscar home this time. Film features Ali Junejo, Alina Khan, Rasti Farooqi, Sania Saeed and Sarwat Gillani in lead roles. ‘Joyland’ also received standing ovation and two awards at its screening at Cannes Film Festival.–Agencies
