ISLAMABAD: Prince Rahim Aga Khan met with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Prime Minister thanked Prince Rahim for work that AKDN is doing for wellbeing of people of Pakistan.

PM expressed appreciation for role that Sir Sultan Mahomed Shah, Aga Khan III, played in creation of Pakistan. Prince Rahim was accompanied by Sultan Ali Allana Director of AKFED and Shafik Sachedina who heads Department of Diplomatic Affairs of His Highness Aga Khan.Prince Rahim on concluding five-day visit met with government and AKDN leadership and visited new AKDN projects in Gilgit-Baltistan. President Asif Ali Zardari conferred Nishan-i-Pakistan on Prince Rahim for his “Untiring efforts to improving quality of life of peoples in resource-constrained regions of Asia and Africa”.

Prince Rahim met with various government officials including Governor of Gilgit-Baltistan Syed Mehdi Shah, Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi and Chief Minister of Gilgit-Baltistan Gulbar Khan and discussed matters of mutual interest and work of AKDN in country.
