President Zardari, Iran’s Raisi pledge to strengthen bilateral ties

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari extended warm welcome to President of Iran Dr Seyyed Ebrahim Raisi as he arrived at President’s House.
In an official statement posted on verified X account of President, President Zardari conveyed his deep honour in hosting President Raisi, affirming shared bonds of religion, history and culture that unite Pakistan and Iran.
Emphasising importance of visit, President Zardari expressed satisfaction at positive trajectory of bilateral relations between two nations and pledged to further fortify dialogue and cooperation between Pakistan and Iran.
During their discussions, both leaders underscored significance of enhancing cooperation and collaboration across various spheres to bolster existing ties between two neighbouring countries.
Matters of mutual interest, including avenues for promoting Pakistan-Iran relations, were deliberated upon extensively, reflecting shared commitment towards fostering robust partnership.
