President Zardari fractures foot while deboarding plane at Dubai Airport

Dubai: President Asif Ali Zardari fractured his foot while deboarding an airplane upon arrival at Dubai International Airport, statement from President House said on Thursday.
Following fall, he was immediately taken to hospital for treatment. After check-up, doctor placed his foot in cast. “Cast will remain on his foot for four weeks,” statement read. It added that President Zardari was sent home and advised complete rest. At 69 years of age, President has had multiple health issues in recent years.
In March 2023, he underwent eye surgery in United Arab Emirates. In 2022, he was admitted to Karachi’s Dr Ziauddin Hospital for one week for treatment of chest infection. Amid rumours of ill health, his personal physician and close aide Dr Asim Hussain took to social media platform X to confirm that he “Is in good health”.
Meanwhile, PM Shehbaz Sharif inquired about health of Asif Zardari via telephone and prayed for early recovery. Bilawal Bhutto also phoned his father and talked about latest health condition. He hoped early recovey.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi prayed for President Zardari speedy recovery following his foot injury. “During this time, he find strength and resilience. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and we look forward to his swift return to serve our nation,” he wrote in X post. — X/@fkkundi
PPP leader Sehar Kamran reacted to Zardari’s injury and prayed for his speedy recovery and complete healing. “He is an icon of strength and courage for all of us; his resilience and determination inspire us all. Allah Almighty may bless him with good health and long life, Aameen,” she wrote.
