ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi has termed continuation of policies essential for sustainable economic growth, promoting industrialisation and attracting foreign investment.

Addressing second Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry Taxpayer Recognition Awards at Aiwan-e-Sadr President said that hurdles in process of filing taxes by business community need to be removed besides providing facilitation to business community and addressing their grievances and issues.

He termed digitalization of economy and business processes essential for enhancing tax collection, promoting tax culture and transparency in economy.

President also called upon members of business community to enhance participation of women in businesses and industry, besides providing them safe and friendly environment at workplace.
