ISLAMABAD: President Dr Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed their condolences to Turkiye over loss of precious lives in Istanbul blast.
On his Twitter handle, prime minister expressed his deep anguish over explosion at Istiklal Avenue, Istanbul and conveyed condolences to brotherly people of Turkiye on part of government of Pakistan and its people.
He also prayed for speedy recovery of those who had been injured in explosion. "I have learnt with deep anguish about explosion at popular Istiklal Avenue in heart of Istanbul. Government and people of Pakistan express deepest condolences to brotherly people of Turkiye at loss of precious lives and send prayers for speedy recovery of injured," he posted a tweet.
President strongly condemned explosion and expressed solidarity with government and people of Turkiye over incident. He said that they shared grief with people of Turkiye. He said that terrorism was a collective issue of world. He prayed for departed souls and for bereaved families to bear loss with fortitude, President Secretariat Press Wing said in a press release.
