President, PM, DG ISPR paid glowing tribute to Syed Ali Geelani

Islamabad: President Dr. Arif Alvi said that martyred Kashmir Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gilani was and will remain an icon of Kashmiri struggle for self-determination.
"His unwavering commitment to cause of freedom and justice will be a clarion call for Azadi for generations to come," President said in a message on occasion of first death anniversary of Syed Ali Gilani. "We pay rich tribute to noble soul and true hero, now immortalised as an abiding symbol of courage and fortitude in face of brutal oppression and unspeakable adversity," he added. "He will be remembered for his unconditional love for Kashmir and Pakistan and his legacy would continue to inspire those carrying his mission forward to bring an end to illegal Indian occupation of Jammu and Kashmir," he added.
.Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has paid glowing tributes to Hurriyat leader Late Syed Ali Geelani on his first martyrdom anniversary. In a statement, he said title of Baba Hurriyat for Syed Ali Geelani by Kashmiris is an acknowledgement of his historic struggle. Prime Minister said by taking away body of Syed Ali Geelani, yearning of Kashmiris for freedom cannot be suppressed. He said Geelani's slogan of 'we are Pakistanis, Pakistan is ours, is echoing all over world. He prayed for all martyrs of Kashmir including Syed Ali Geelani and grant of patience to bereaved families.
In a tweet, he said Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani personified very essence of Kashmiris' struggle.
Meanwhile Director General Inter-services Public Relation (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar has said Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Geelani's lifelong struggle for right to self-determination as per aspirations of Kashmiri people and UN resolutions shall always inspire generations to come. In a tweet, he said Pakistani nation pays tribute to brave Kashmiri leader for his epic resistance and fight against worst Indian oppression and atrocities in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
