President, PM, COAS congratulate Arshad Nadeem for winning Gold Medal

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has congratulated Arshad Nadeem for winning gold medal in Javelian throw competition at Commonwealth Games.

In a tweet, he said Arshad Nadeem has made Pakistan proud. PM said Arshad’s consistency, passion and hard work hold lessons for our youth. Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa has also felicitated Arshad Nadeem for setting a new record and creating history with his exceptional performance at Commonwealth games.

Meanwhile, President Arif Alvi, PTI Chairman Imran, Punjab Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi and top leadership congratulated Arshad Nadeem who defeated a chronic elbow injury to win Commonwealth Games men’s javelin, becoming first Pakistan athlete to achieve feat. On his way to gold, Nadeem broke record and even pushed World Championship gold medalist Grenada’s Anderson Peters, who threw 88.64 metres to second spot. “Nation is proud of you,” said President.
