ISLAMABAD: President Arif Alvi has conferred Nishan-e-Imtiaz Military upon Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee General Sahir Shamshad Mirza and Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir at ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr here in recognition of their valuable services.

It was attended amongst others by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Chairman Senate Sadiq Sanjrani, Speaker National Assembly Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Cabinet members and officers of armed forces.

Meanwhile, at the concluding session of Islamabad Conclave-2022, President remarked that armed forces were committed to perform their mandated functions as per Constitution, therefore, all politicians should commit themselves to democratic means of negotiations, consultations and deliberations to achieve consensus on issues confronted to nation and reduce political polarisation to achieve financial and economic stability in country.
