President Arts Council discusses key issues with Governor Tessori

Karachi: Arts Council President Ahmad Shah and Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori discussed issues being faced by Arts Council. During meeting they discussed arts, dance and others performing arts issues. Governor said that Arts Council is performing significant services in promotion of arts, especially in developing skills of children, Arts Council has key role and it is best platform for promotion of Urdu literature.
He said that issues being faced by Arts Council will be solved on priority. Ahmad Shah said that Arts Council is an important centre of social, cultural and other activities in city. Meanwhile, artists, writers and poets of Hyderabad expressed their happiness on restoration of Awami Theater after 32 years. They thanked President of Arts Council Karachi Ahmed Shah for promoting art and culture in Karachi. Revival of public theatre after 32 years is beginning of healthy activities in Hyderabad. Stage artists, writers, poets and journalists, separately met President Arts Council on opening ceremony of theater festival, said in a statement. Artists said that last theater held at Mehran Arts Council in Hyderabad was in 1992 and no such cultural program has been held since then.
