PPP's grievances to be resolved 'amicably'

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has formed separate committees to address concerns raised by PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari in meeting with him.

Meeting between PPP's stalwarts and PML-N leadership came after Bilawal Bhutto Zardari skilled National Assembly session when budget for next fiscal year 2024-25 was presented on June 12. During meeting prime minister agreed on most of concerns raised by PPP chief and setup separate committees to address his complaints.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif assured Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari of taking steps to address the key ally’s reservations on multiple issue.Committees, according to sources, would holds talks today to resolve issues between ruling partners.

At one point, Bilawal expressed concerns for not taking PPP into confidence regarding budget. He highlighted that PPP had supported government under an agreement, which is not being implemented by PML-N.

He accused Punjab government of creating hurdles for PPP in province.PM Shehbaz urged all political parties to work together for development and prosperity of country and public welfare.

PPP delegation included Chairman Senate Yusuf Raza Gilani, Raja Pervaiz Ashraf, Syed Khurshid Shah, Syed Naveed Qamar and Sherry Rehman. Premier said consultation was held with Pakistan Peoples' Party regarding budget 2024-2025.
