Karachi's City Mayor, Murtaza Wahab, highlighted the Pakistan Peoples Party's (PPP) recent unveiling of a 10-point election agenda, as outlined by party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.

The agenda's primary focus is to alleviate hunger, poverty, unemployment, and curb lawlessness for Pakistan's 250 million citizens.

Bilawal presented this agenda at a PPP rally in Garhi Khuda Baksh on December 27, reaffirming the party's commitment to Shaheed Benazir Bhutto's philosophy.

In a press conference at Frere Hall, Mayor Wahab emphasized that the nation belongs to the majority, not just the privileged elite. He highlighted the PPP's five-decade dedication to governance driven by the people, emphasizing the party's strong leadership.

Wahab expressed confidence in the populace, believing they are now immune to propaganda and will choose the PPP for its service-oriented agenda. He criticized rival parties for prioritizing leaders' images over addressing public issues.

Contrasting this, he noted that the PPP doesn't just tackle current challenges but also outlines future strategies. Wahab emphasized the party's credibility by pointing to past promises delivered upon. Regarding the 10-point manifesto, he outlined plans to double salaries in five years, construct three million houses, offer 300 units of free electricity to farmers, and focus on alternative energy sources like wind and solar power. He also highlighted PPP's achievements in income support, skill development, and transparent subsidy systems.

The mayor acknowledged the necessity for tax reforms, stressing the importance of an improved tax collection system for effective public service.
