Karachi: Pakistan Peoples’ Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that his party will not take ministries in centre.

Expressing his thoughts, he said, “There is dire need to take stern action against corruption.” He resolved to take opposition on board in Sindh Assembly. “We have to deliver better than before,” said Bilawal Bhutto.

Meanwhile, Party is all set to form next government in Sindh for record fourth consecutive time, Murad Ali Shah has been picked to be party’s nominee for Chief Minister. Addressing press conference following PPP’s Sindh parliamentary committee meeting, Bilawal Bhutto said that Murad Ali Shah would be party’s candidate for Sindh Chief Minister.

“We will request him to take responsibility of this post again. But this time round we have to beat our own record,” Bilawal noted.

He announced that Naveed Anthony would be candidate for Sindh Assembly Deputy Speaker. He said that Awais Shah would be candidate for Sindh Assembly Speaker.

PPP enjoys comfortable majority in house and it doesn’t need support from any other party to get its Speaker, Deputy Speaker and Chief Minister elected.

He thanked people of Sindh for having ‘faith’ in PPP, saying that people not only made his party successful but also gave better results as compared to past.

He said that his party’s first priority after forming government in Sindh would be to fulfil promises made to flood affectees.

“We will not just build houses but also give ownership rights to women,” he added. Bilawal Bhutto stated that there were several other projects regarding flood affectees and reiterated that same would be PPP’s top priority.

“Sindh government will compete with Centre in terms of performance,” he added. He asked his elected MPAs and MNAs to ‘make him proud’ and work ‘day and night’ for country.
