PPP will continue to follow footsteps of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto: Asif Zardari

LAHORE: Pakistan People’s Party co-Chairman and former President Asif Ali Zardari said that there is huge difference between his party and political opponents. Speaking on occasion of 55th foundation day of party, Zardari drew line of demarcation between PPP and other parties, adding that PPP has a long history of prioritizing democracy unlike other parties. He also promised that PPP would continue to follow in footsteps of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.


Former President said that party will leave no stone unturned to play its part in country’s development and prosperity considering imagination of Benazir Bhutto.
Speaking of women’s emancipation, Zardari promised to ensure their representation in various walks of life, adding that all efforts will be made to give them [women] higher status in society.


In addition to emphasising importance of youth, Asif Zardari promised to provide them with as many opportunities as possible to help them achieve their potential. He also promised labourers’ community to provide it with jobs and due rights, adding that requirements of farmers would also be fulfilled.


Talking about importance of elected representatives, Zardari said that merely elected representatives elected parliament will take the country’s decisions. He expressed optimism about country’s democratic system, saying that it will become stronger
