PPP top brass’ message conveyed to MQM-P leadership

KARACHI: After holding talks with Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan (MQM-P), Pakistan Peoples’ Party leader Nasir Hussain Shah said that central executive committee (CEC) will take final decision regarding participation in elections.
PPP and MQM-P concluded another round of talks. Both political parties held talks after PPP delegation visited MQM-P Bahadurabad headquarters. Mustafa Kamal, while talking to media, said that they discussed MQM-P’s demands and stance. Nasir Hussain Shah said that they held consultations over MQM-P’s stance regarding union councils (UCs). He added that government will write letter in this regard, whereas, they also discussed other issues with MQM-P leadership.
MQM-P convenor Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Farooq Sattar, Mustafa Kamal, Faisal Sabzwari, Khawaja Izharul Hassan and others attended meeting. PPP delegation include Saeed Ghani, Sohail Anwar Siyal, Mukesh Chawla and others. Sources said that PPP delegation conveyed message of Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari to MQM-P leadership.
He said that MQM-P expressed reservations regarding delimitations. “We tried our best to convince MQM-P for taking part in Local Government polls.” Regarding participation in by-polls on National Assembly seats, Shah said that PPP CEC will take final decision in coming day. He confirmed that PPP and MQM-P candidates have already submitted their nomination papers. Regarding political situation, PPP leader alleged Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chief Imran Khan is spreading chaos in country.
He blamed Khan for deteriorated economic situation due to his agreements.
He claimed that incumbent government took difficult decisions to end economic crisis.
