ISLAMABAD: PPP Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar has resigned from membership of Senate. Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar has submitted his resignation with Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani.

Chairman Senate has accepted his resignation and issued notification thereof.  It has been said in text of resignation tendered by Senator, “I am presenting my resignation under directives of Senator Farooq H Naik.”

Giving reason for tendering his resignation he said during meeting with senior leader of party I came to know party leadership is not happy over my political stance. Party leadership has sought my resignation from Senate membership. I am willing happily to resign from Senate seat. I being a party worker think it my right to express my views on matters related to public interest.

I am grateful to party leadership for giving me Senate seat from Sindh.  Keeping aside differences, my journey with them remained superb. I express my best wishes for them. PPP leader said “Are we members of Indian Lok Sabha that as to why our telephones are tapped persistently. Our movement is watched and why our secrecy is attacked.”  He held politicians, judges and journalists often fall victim to it.
