RAWALPINDI: Awami Muslim League Chief Sheikh Rasheed Ahmed hit out at ruling partners, stating that PPP and PML-N wanted to install caretaker Prime Minister who would serve their interests. Taking to twitter, former Interior Minister said decision regarding formation of caretaker setup would not be an easy task. Lashing out at ruling parties, he said they wanted to provide benefit to their relatives.
He said caretaker PM could not get any powers, except for holding elections, without constitutional amendment. He shared his two cents on reports that PML-N had nominated Finance Minister Ishaq Dar for caretaker PM slot. Such decisions would anger International Monetary Fund, devalue local currency and delay elections in country, he warned.
He said it was surprising doctors in London advised former PM Nawaz Sharif to go to Saudi Arabia, UAE and Dubai but barred him from visiting Pakistan. He said PML-N supremo did not dare return despite holding diplomatic passport and government of his brother in country.
He said any attempt to delay polls would serve more blows to government. He said increased power tariff amid inflation would bury politics of ruling partners, adding that people had gone fed up with them. He said public had defaulted owing to surging inflation.
He called government out for distribution of new vehicles among government officers. He said next two weeks were crucial for political situation in Pakistan, adding that more difficulties were in store for public.
