PPP mulls seat adjustment with PML-N in general elections

LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples’ Party is seeking seat adjustment with Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in Punjab and other provinces in upcoming elections. Sources divulged PPP requested PML-N not give ticket to its candidate in constituencies represented by PPP bigwigs including Pervaiz Ashraf and Yousuf Raza Gilani. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would reportedly travel from London to Dubai as well. PML-N and PPP leadership meetings will also include Prime Minister.
According to sources, PM Shehbaz was acting as “Mediator” between PML-N and PPP. Interim Prime Minister was likely to be chosen at crucial meeting. Election date will also be decided by two parties.
Sources privy to development said PML-N and PPP will also evaluate issue of dissolving assemblies. Two parties will also discuss how many seats would be adjusted for Istehkam-e-Pakistan Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid.
