PPP leaders remember Suharwardy on 20th death anniversary

KARACHI: Pakistan People's Party Sindh President Nisar Khoro has said that the People's Party will continue to play its role for the continuation of democracy, the supremacy of the Parliament and the Constitution in the country, however, the People's Party has rejected any proposal to join the federal government.

We are supporting the federal government to maintain the continuity of democracy and hope that the federal government will provide funds to Sindh. He was speaking on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of PPP stalwart Munawwar Suharwardy at Arts Council Karachi. On the occasion, People's Party Executive Council Member Former Chairman Mian Raza Rabbani, PP Sindh General Secretary Waqar Mehdi, Senator Taj Haider, Mayor Karachi Murtaza Wahab, Javed Naguri, Faizan Suharwardi, Aslam Samu, Arts Council President Ahmed Shah, Journalist Shahid, Abbas Jatoi, Zia Awan Advocate, Deputy Mayor Karachi Salman Murad, party leader Ijaz Durrani, HM Ghanchi, Zahid Shabbir, Arshad Naqvi, representatives of Malir Town Municipality Muhammad Ali, Aslam Qureshi, Manoor Sohri Vardi were present. Families and hundreds of workers also showed their presence.

Nisar Khoro while remembering Munawwar Suharwardy said he was a dedicated party worker and paid tribute to him for his massive services for the party.Speaking on this occasion Raza Rabbani said that the People's Party has to play a role to get rid of the hybrid system which was played by Shaheed Bhutto. He said that the ideology of the People's Party was to fight against the elite and the civil-military bureaucracy, for which one has to play a role. 

He said Munawwar Suharwardy was an ideological worker of the party who fought hard for the restoration of democracy.
