Karachi: Pakistan Peoples’ Party senior leader Sharjeel Memon urged Election Commission of Pakistan to announce election date immediately.

Expressing his thoughts Memon reiterated, “There is dire need to hold elections quickly to ensure transparency.”

He underscored contributions made by PPP in country’s political scenario. “None of parties has made sacrifices like PPP. PPP has made great sacrifices to uphold democracy”.

Recalling events that transpired on May 9, Memon said, “May 9 event is blackest chapter of country’s history.”

He took swipe at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf saying, “Selective people were deliberately subjected to political vendetta by PTI.” “PTI had harmed country on all grounds,” he added. Meanwhile, on auspicious occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi, he felicitated nation.
