KARACHI: PPP Sindh President Senator Nisar Ahmed Khuhro said in country, no other decision is acceptable except conducting elections of National and Provincial Assemblies on same day, adding if those elections are not conducted on same day in whole country, then Sindh will protest.

At press conference Khuhro said that in case of suo moto case, Supreme Court was talking about capacity that all parties should sit together and consult, then capacity could be taken to hold elections in country on same day, so full court should be formed on matter.

He said that holding elections is authority of Election Commission and court did not review Article 69 of Election Act in suo moto case, which provides for one-day polls and court had mentioned in suo moto notice that Punjab and KPK assemblies were dissolved legitimately or not?

There will be discussion on this point as well, but there is no mention of reasons behind dissolution of two assemblies until case is heard and decision is reached. Court has again given an unconstitutional date to hold the Punjab Assembly elections on May 14, because this date has not been completed in 90 days.

He said that assemblies can be dissolved only when law and order situation is bad, economy is not good and members do not have confidence in Chief Minister, but in Punjab, after taking vote of confidence in Chief Minister, stubbornness and crisis situation of single person. In order to create, people and public representatives were insulted by breaking Punjab Assembly and Imran Khan broke two provincial assemblies and started riot.
