KARACHI: Pakistan Peoples’ Party complained to federal government over MQM-P behaviour. According to sources, PPP shared details of benefits MQM-P received after coalition with PDM to federation.

Sources said that PPP sought resignation of administrator Karachi Murtaza Wahab because of MQM-P and new administrator was also appointed on their recommendations. MQM-P MPA Javed Hanif made his brother member of public service commission. Arif Haneef and Abdul Malik Ghauri then became member of PSC.

Members of the MQM-P Rabita Committee Muhammad Sharif and Shakeel Ahmed were appointed as administrators Korangi and Sharqi respectively. Sources added that on PPP recommendation several posts were given to MQM-P in federation. Faisal Sabzwari and Amin ul-Haq were given ministries.

Kamran Tessori was appointed as Governor Sindh on MQM-P recommendation.

Earlier, Pakistan Peoples’ Party held key session to mull over Muttahida Qaumi Movement Pakistan reservations on Sindh government following non-fulfilment of its demands including changes in delimitations. MQM-P sources said that they will not let any political party occupy urban Sindh.

It is pertinent to mention here that recently held meeting between PPP and MQM leadership failed in bringing any fruitful outcome whereas PPP co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari also seeking PPP top brass into confidence and consultation in view od MQM-P reservations in light of the agreement signed.

Moreover, PML-N leaders also visited Karachi and mediated for talks to break the rift existing between two parties. In light of the upcoming LB polls, MQM-P stance is firm that delimitations should start from fresh phase while PPP made it explicit that in short span of time new delimitations cannot be done under any circumstances.

It is also being witnessed that as LG polls are scheduled to be held on January 15, so Governor Sindh Kamran Tessori has also been seen engaged in activities to bring closer all the factions of MQM-P for the betterment of Karachi whether its is PSP Chief Mustafa Kamal or estranged leader Farooq Sattar.

The current political situation in Karachi remains in doldrums as both PPP-MQM talks are still at stalement. It is expected that PPP-MQM will likely to meet again in a week to reach some logical conclusion after mutual consensus.
