PPP can steer country out of crises, claims Bilawal Bhutto

FAISALABAD: Pakistan Peoples’ Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari claimed that only his party could steer county out of current crises, as it had very clear manifesto for people’s welfare.

Addressing public gathering Tandlianwala here, he said PPP enjoyed masses’ support because of its public welfare agenda and unprecedented sacrifices, offered by its leadership for democracy in Pakistan. He said PPP would re-emerge as leading force in general election 2024.

He said PPP had 10-point agenda for ensuring public welfare and betterment after coming to power. He said PPP founder chairman Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had created awareness among masses about protection of their legitimate rights whereas his mother Benazir Bhutto embraced martyrdom but never compromised on democratic norms.

He said PPP had already introduced Benazir Income Support Programme for downtrodden segments of society. After coming to power, PPP would also introduce Benazir Kisan Card, Benazir Mazdoor Card and Benazir Youth Card, in addition to initiating free medical treatment, free education and free electricity up to 300 units, Waseela-e-Haq, Waseela-e-Rozgar and other programmes.

He announced establishment of university in Tandlianwala if his party was voted to power, along with giving proprietary rights to people living in katchi abadis and construction of 3 million houses.  He asked female workers of PPP to go door to door and convince people, especially youth, to cast their vote in favour of PPP.

PPP leaders including Rana Farooq Saeed Khan, Syed Hasan Murtaza, Chauhry Ejaz Ahmad, Sidra Bandesha, Rana Naeem Dastgir and Riyasat Ali Khan Baloch also addressed.

Meanwhile, Bilawal Bhutto expressed his gratitude to former Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar for extending support to former’s party in NA-127 constituency.

He called on Sarwar at his residence here. Bilawal Bhutto conveyed his heartfelt condolences over death of Sarwar’s brother. he offered fateha, praying for departed soul elevated status in afterlife. PPP General Secretary Nayyar Bukhari was also present.
